Week 33!

We went to see Dr. Moser today for what turned out to be a super fast check-up. Everything was fine. The baby’s heartbeat was at 167 bpm, which she said was excellent. His lungs are also working fine (you can see him breathing on his own). Jordan moved his foot a little bit for us (I think he was asleep and wasn’t real happy about us waking him up). We quickly went through some procedural questions…she said she would give us until 41 weeks to deliver the baby since we don’t want him induced unless absolutely necessary. We’ll go back to see her in 4 weeks, where she’ll do all sorts of measurements to make sure that the baby can come out on his own. If not, she’ll help us with other plans. But either way, she said that we should be able to work out some estimated dates at that appointment. Wheeee!

She also confirmed what I thought were Braxton Hicks contractions were in fact BH contractions. :o )

In other news, the baby furniture came in yesterday. They said that nothing was damaged in transit, so that’s good. We’ll probably rent a trailer on Saturday to go pick up everything. And then it’ll be a weekend full of assembling furniture. Fun times.

So things are rolling along. It’s strange to think that in another 50 or so days, we’ll have another human being to care for… :o )
