Last weekend went by like a whirlwind. On Thursday afternoon, Greg’s Dad flew into town for the baby shower. We grilled burgers and stuff for dinner, which was good fun. I had to go to work on Friday…which Greg’s Dad didn’t realize until they were on their way out to have a late breakfast at Waffle House, when he didn’t see my car in the garage. That was pretty funny. Diane and Laura drove up and got into town at about 5ish. We went over to the hotel to meet up with them and brought them back to our house. They wanted to go to Cristina’s for dinner, so Paul came and met up with us there. It was great fun.

After dinner, we all went back to our house to hang out. John and Marshall arrived at about 11:30 or so, and Joan and Kristan pulled up right behind them. It was a big party with everyone around. Jordan’s room was the most popular destination, obviously. I think at around 12:30, most everyone left to go back to the hotel…Joan and Kristan stayed at our house. They came up just to hang out with us…they couldn’t make it to the shower.

The next morning, everybody came back over for breakfast. Greg made eggs, sausages, and Belgian waffles for everyone. Yum. We hung out until about Noon or so, and then everyone split to go get ready for the shower. We split up in a couple of cars to caravan to my sister’s house in Allen.

The shower was a blast. There were a ton of people there. Luci, Jo, Beta, and my sis were hostesses. We all just hung out like a big family reunion, ate lots of good food, and Jordan got all sorts of loot. )

After the shower, all of Greg’s crew caravan’ed back to our house, where we grilled pizzas for dinner. It was fun. Everybody really liked it. It’s way less of a mess at the new house with the big island and stuff (it used to be a big cluster in the kitchen when we did this at the old house).

Sunday morning we went over to the hotel to have breakfast. The buffet there was pretty good. I (well, Jordan) had lots of food. After that, all the San Antonio folks were on their way, and we went home and crashed for a few hours. And that’s how our weekend concluded.
