6 months!

Boy, I guess we’ve been busier than we thought. Sometimes it’s either getting pictures posted or posting on the blog…and I believe that most of our relatives prefer the pictures over a blog entry. :p

First of all, the vitals…Jordan is now 28 inches and 17 lbs 9 oz. He hasn’t gained a whole lot of weight in the past 3 weeks because we were all sick at the beginning of March. He got a stomach bug, a cold/cough, and an ear infection all at the same time. In fact, the antibiotics (amoxicillan…that he hated) that was prescribed to him the first time didn’t work…so the ear infection went to his other ear, causing a ruptured ear drum. So with that came 2 more doctor visits and another kind of antibiotics (which he loved) and ear drops. It was a pretty bad week for us ‘cuz we came down with cases of pretty bad cough also.

But now everyone’s well again. Last weekend we went and got Jordan a convertible seat because he was outgrowing his infant seat (too tall). His first trip out on his new seat was to church with my parents. He was very proud of his big-boy-seat:

He’s sitting up pretty well now…requiring minimal support. Sometimes he forgets and leans one way and just keeps falling. It’s pretty funny.

He also digs playing in his ExerSaucer. We put it out in the backyard one day when it was nice out, and he had a blast.

He loves going to school too. Sometimes he gets cranky on Saturday mornings because he doesn’t get to go to school and see all his friends.

I think that’s the past 2 months in a nutshell. OH, and he started his dry cereal and applesauce when he was 4 months old. At first he didn’t know what to think about the whole cereal thing, but he loved the applesauce. We just got the all-clear from his doctor to give him mashed table food whenever we’d like. It’ll be so much fun ‘cuz he’s been reaching for everything we eat.

And how could I forget (going backwards here)…he met his new cousin, Lana, on February 8th. He was a very good boy and hung out in the waiting area ‘cuz he wasn’t allowed back in the delivery area. He had fun with his grandparents though.

Alright, I think this time that really is it. Hopefully it won’t be another 3 months before I have a chance to write again. :p
